Beth E. Coiner Flower Linkage Charm
The flower link concept, originated from a bespoke design project. I made a necklace for my client with a series of connecting link patterns of the flower charm, a long link bar with the flower repetition engraving and also a shorter bar with one flower engraving. The 16” flower link necklace was made repurposing my local client’s old gold and she wears it everyday. Sometimes, I even get to see her wearing it in my small community.
For the Stay Gold Collective link project, I thought about our community of independent small brand jewelers, my small community where I sometimes work with clients to re-imagine their jewelry into a new design and lastly, how in nature it’s all about community and repetition. So it seemed fitting to re-intrepret the flower link necklace into a linkage component for the SGC link project. For gardeners and floral enthusiasts, my flower link design is like adding a tiny boutonnière to your jewelry story.
